An Evening with Gregory Harrington and his quartet

Tuesday, December 2 | 8 pm
Doors open at 7 pm

"This Dublin born violinist showed natural artistry and an ability to dazzle.” -  The Irish Times

Since winning the Artists International Competition in New York in 2002 and making his debut in Carnegie Hall in 2003, Gregory Harrington's performances have taken him all over the globe to glittering reviews. Having given multiple performances in Carnegie Hall, he has performed in many of the major centers around the world, some part of sold-out tours including Avery Fisher Hall, New York; the Royal Festival Hall, London and the National Performing Arts Center in Beijing. His collaborators have included Grammy winning artists including the Emerson String Quartet, legendary Irish fiddler Martin Hayes, British virtuoso Simon Mulligan, celebrated jazz bassist John Patitucci, singer Vince Gill amongst others and he has made numerous appearances and interviews on TV and radio.

The concert will see Greg perform a combination of his transcriptions for solo violin of some of Bachs most iconic works mixed with his arrangements for quartet of standards and classics with a fresh twist ranging from the Great American Songbook, iconic songwriters and great Irish ballads.
