Muldoon’s Picnic
An omnium-gatherum of words and music

Hosted by the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon

The feast of word and song led by Pulitzer Prize-winning Irish poet, pop lyricist, and New Yorker Poetry Editor Paul Muldoon returns for a third season on the second Monday of every month. This fall welcomes the spoken word backing-band Rogue Oliphant.

Special Guests

Nick Flynn is the award-winning author of Some Ether, Blind Huber, The Ticking is the Bomb and Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, winner of the PEN/Martha Albrand Award. He divides his time between Texas, where he teaches at the University of Houston, and Brooklyn, New York.

Colson Whitehead is the New York Times bestselling author of Zone One, Sag Harbor, The Intuitionist, John Henry Days, Apex Hides the Hurt, The Colossus of New York, The Noble Hustle, and a collection of essays. A recipient of a Whiting Writers' Award and a MacArthur Fellowship, he lives in New York City.

Phil Robson is internationally regarded as a highly versatile and creative player who appears in all kinds of diverse settings, as well as being a being a renowned bandleader & composer.

Christine Tobin is a multi-award winning Irish vocalist and songwriter. Her style, although rooted in jazz, is eclectic and draws on a broad range of influences from Ireland to West Africa to Brazil. She was awarded the prestigious Herald Angel Award at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013.
