Irish Arts Festival
at the Children’s Museum of the Arts

During the month of January, the Children's Museum of the Arts will team up with the Irish Arts Center to explore the creative world of Irish literature and folk arts at the Irish Festival, featuring live music, dance, theater and storytelling performances, and craft workshops.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

January 11th, 18th & 24th-25th 

During the month of January, CMA will team up with the Irish Arts Center to explore the creative world of Irish literature and folk arts at the Irish Festival, featuring live music, dance, theater and storytelling performances, and craft workshops!

January 11: Join the McManus School of Irish Dance for performances and workshops between 12 & 2:30 PM!

January 18: Join Darrah Carr Dance for performance and interactive workshops between 12 & 3 PM! Learn all about the Irish jig!

January 23: Wilde Party: A Fairy Tale Dance Party: Join CMA and the Irish Arts Center from 3:30-6 PM as we continue to celebrate Irish culture and literature at our first Wilde Party, a fairy tale dance party inspired by the works of Irish author and playwright Oscar Wilde. All visitors are encouraged to dress the part! Get inspired reading Wilde’s classic children’s stories or choose one of your favorite fairy tale characters. The afternoon will include storytelling, a jig warm-up with the Patricia McManus of the McManus School of Irish Dance, and a Dance Party !

January 24Join Andrew Vickers for interactive dance performances and workshops!

January 25Join Leah Rankin for live cello performances and workshops between 12 & 3 PM
