Find Your Voice: Jazz Vocal Workshop
with vocalist Christine Tobin and accompanying guitarist Phil Robson

Wednesday, March 8 | 6:30 PM – 8:45 PM

Irish born and now New York City-based, multi award winning singer/songwriter Christine Tobin and accompanying guitarist Phil Robson will present a jazz vocal workshop which will focus on helping students express their true voices, improve projection, sound and technique, as well as develop interpretation, stylistic understanding, diction and reading of lyrics.

Both have conducted masterclasses at major international festivals & colleges including recently Eastman College as part of the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, "Jazz for Kids" & many more. Although from a jazz background, Christine is also known for her original re-workings of Leonard Cohen and Carole King as well as composing musical settings for poetry. Phil Robson has worked with a diverse cross section of artists from David Liebman to Barbra Streisand.

Carole King’s "Home Again" & Edgar Harburg/Burton Lane’s "Old Devil Moon" will be the source material focused on during the workshop and song sheets will be provided on the day.
