Irish Fiddle
with Martin Hayes

Tuesday, September 24 | 7 pm – 9 pm
Saturday, September 28 | 2 pm – 4 pm

“Sparsely accompanied fiddle music has rarely sounded so complete and so essential.” – Q Magazine

"Hayes has one of the most ravishing violin styles in all of Celtic music…the vocal quality of his tone brings an incomparable feeling of warmth to everything he plays.”
The Los Angeles Times

Martin Hayes is regarded as one of the most extraordinary talents to emerge in the world of Irish traditional music. His unique sound, his mastery of this fiddle, his acknowledgement of the past and his shaping of the future of the music, combine to create an astonishing and formidable artistic intelligence. To coincide with his September 22-29 residence, Hayes will conduct two master classes demonstrating bowing techniques, melody interpretations, variations and improvisations from Irish traditional music open to all levels.
