Guitar for Traditional Irish Accompaniment
with Dennis Cahill

Tuesday, September 24 | 7 pm – 9 pm
Saturday, September 28 | 2 pm – 4 pm

"…unbearably beautiful, with an approach so radical it sounds perfectly true to the tradition." - Acoustic Guitar

“Dennis Cahill's symbiotic guitar accompaniment is a crucial foil for Martin Hayes deliciously subtle displays of charming brilliance." - Folk Roots, UK

Master guitarist Dennis Cahill’s essential accompaniment to Martin Hayes’ fiddle is acknowledged as a major breakthrough for guitar in the Irish tradition. Cahill will conduct two master classes demonstrating chord structure and the rhythmic aspect of tunes in the accompaniment of Irish music open to all levels, to coincide with his September 22-29 residence.
