Bodhrán Technique
with All-Ireland Champion Eamon Murray

Sunday, December 8 | 11am to 2 pm

Four time All-Ireland Bodhrán champion Eamon Murray will host an all-levels workshop. In this workshop, Eamon will cover some basic techniques and how to accompany a range of Irish tunes. He will also show some of the more technical elements like “single ended rolls” and “syncopated rhythm” and other elements that form his modern approach to bodhrán playing. If you're just beginning or want to pick Eamon's brains about the more technical elements of the instrument, come along!

Eamon has held the All-Ireland Bodhrán title on four occasions and at the age of 16 he co-founded the Irish group Beoga, a band described by the Wall Street Journal as “the most exciting band to emerge from Ireland this century.” With Beoga and other artists he continues to perform professionally to audiences all over the world.
